Beds for Tail Kennels was established in 2007 and over the years has become know by our clients and veterinarians as a caring, safe space for your pets. In 2023, this next chapter continues under new ownership and management with Ruth and Greg Borger and Ann Clemensen as our pack leaders.
Longtime friends, Ann, Ruth and Greg have always been the quintessential dog and cat parents, with similar ideals on what care meant for their own fur family members. Having a safe and caring place for our pets to stay while travelling was always paramount in their minds.
Through the years they used various kennel services, each with their own pros and cons, but they always envisioned a service that would meet all their needs and expectations of dog and cat care. This is what brought them to Beds for Tails Kennels. We are now able to take the standard of care that we expect for our own pets so that we can share with our clients what ‘loving care when you’re not there’ truly means to us.
Beds for Tails Kennels is a modern boarding facility for dogs and cats situated on three acres of gorgeous property located just ten minutes south of Ottawa. The spacious, climate-controlled indoor/outdoor private suites with adjoining runs, exercise yards and land for nature walks makes your pet’s stay a holiday of its own.
In addition to our boarding, we have recently expanded our services to include a canine training service through Shield K9 Ottawa, building on an internationally established brand and methodology. This training service will also operate out of our facility.
Building on the strong foundation established by the previous owners of Beds for Tails, we will be offering compassionate care and services at an un-matched facility that makes this the ultimate dog and cat destination in the greater Ottawa area. Services will include:
Together, Ann, Ruth and Greg make a passionate management team with extensive experience in client service and care. Together with our team of kennel techs, vet techs and dog trainers, we have a deep love for our own pets that will translate to all pets that come into their care.
